LIFE AS A HOUSE

A wind forced me to wake up at night
a shadow lurked somewhere in a corner
i tried to be brave but was not able to
fumbled on the switchboard switched on the lights
secured all the corners and locked the door.

I’LL do anything (the ballad of a man not in love but in an easy chair)

Everyday I will live in anticipation that next day I will meet you
Every night I will sleep dreaming bout the day I will spend with you
Holding your hands, I will dance my very first dance
In the wait of your touch again, I will save my last dance
For a smile on your face, I will fight the forces of nature
In your laughter I will try to find my destiny
I will stand as long as Ivan to share your company
Will celebrate my birth on the day you take a look at me
I want to breathe the same air that u breathe
In your arms I want to stay forever long
In your fragrance I want to immerse my soul
With you I will travel the world near and far
For you all the doors to my heart are ajar
Together in the high clouds we will stride,
On the river in the moon I will take you for a boat ride
I will show you the place where the sun sets in all its charm
I will hold you tight as you melt into my arms……
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I’LL ANYTHING

THE RIVER ON THE MOON

The river flows every so slowly
White is the water in it
And green is the air that surrounds it
No one has ever been there but me
And now I am back, I have seen
The water that’s white and the air ever so green
Now here nothing seems special anymore
Both the water so cold and the air so fresh
Nothing inspires me to go on anymore
Maybe it was the colour I needed I must go back
To the river on the moon ……….

MIRZA GHALIB'S LAST

One of the greatest and the most underraterd poets of delhi rulers this is one of his favouraite creations

WHEN THERE WAS NOTHING WITH ME; I HAD GOD
IF I HAD NOTHING EVER; I WOULD STILL HAVE HAD GOD
THESE HAVES HAVE DROWNED ME
I WONDER WHT IF THERE WAS NOTHING TO HAVE
WHEN I HAVE BEEN GREETED BY PAIN SO PASSIONATELY
THEN WHAT PAIN SHOULD I HAVE OF GETTING MY HEAD CHOPPED OFF??
IF IT WOULD HAVE STAYED ON MY BODY
THEN I WOULD HAVE BEEN ON MY HAUNCHES....

IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME NOW THAT GALIB'S PASSED AWAY
BUT STILL I REMEMBER THE REASONINGS THAT CAME OUT : IF IT HAD BEEN THIS WAY THAN WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED

SILENCED FOREVER

It was perennial that you should have waited for me a little while longer
you have left alone now stay alone a little while longer
while leaving you said will meet death,
it's seed was sown to grow a little while longer
You were the hope of my life and happiness of my abode
Then why couldn't the map of my house stay so a little while longer
You were not that good of deeds or character so why ??
Could not God could not have waited a little while longer..????????????

A life too ordinary

he walks across the big wide road
of the city where he came for better life.
the road is empty no traffic,
thankfully no hustles crossing it today.
he thiks abt his son must be 6 now,
he thiks abt his wife, stops in his step
the warmth of her breath, he misses it the most
but today he is happy; he got his salary
now he can send it home, buy some cheap liquor
watch a movie with his friends, maybe telephone
even the traffic seems to be on his side nothing in site;
an easy way to his lodge today smiles,
no being scared of the snarling traffic
no being abused by the man in the car,
or being ridiculed by the boy on the bike
he takes, his first step happy as can be...
Vicky starts his bike
it would be his fifteenth time with mona today
none of his friends could do it once
and he was on the fifteenth circle of heaven
mona behind him bike on full speed,
eyes closed on such a lovely night
not a car, a dog, or a cow in sight
just one filthy looking man crossing the road
must be drunk the idiot, spoiling the city his kind
he honks the horn and speeds the bike
might have slowed down for a dog
and so it happens the great collission
vicky checks mona sends her home.
he then checks the damage to his bike
then he sees himself mobbed
next he knows he is in jail
must he call his dad?? wht would he say abt mona??
he thinks and thinks and calls his friend
a price is paid vicky is free he hugs his friend
the friend feels a sensation of pride and greatness
35000 a bit too much for the stupid man but ok....
as he lays on the road he sees his end
the smile he had abt the empty road
layed on it in 32 different shapes
maybe it is his time to die ..

POEMS I LOVE

for one of those moments..
Whenas in silks my julia goes by robert herrick

whenas in silks my julia goes,
Then, then, methinks, how sweetly flows
the liquefaction of her clothes.

Next, when i cast mine eyes and see
That brave vibration each way free;
O how that glittering taketh me!

THINKING ABT YOU...
a prayer in your name
iam saying remembering you
today in my eyes
clouds of tears gather
the race against time is hard
or maybe it's the haven that i see
a prayer in ur name
iam saying remembering you.

poems i love

one of the very best poems to recite loudly to oneself, while making dinner in a cold cold night or while laying still in bright day light.. something to enjoy...

PALANQUIN BEARERS by sarojini naidu

Lightly, o lightly we bear her along,
she sways like a flower in the wind of our song;
she skims like a bird on the foam of a stream,
she floats like a laugh from the lips of a dream.
gaily o gaily, we glide and we sing,
we bear her along like a perl on a string.

softly o softly, we bear her along,
she hangs like a star in the dew of our song;
she springs like a beam on the brow of the tide,
she falls like a tear from the eyes of a bride,
lightly o lightly, we glide and we sing'
we bear her along like a perl on a string

river on the moon

iam just back
a littel tired from my outing
i have discovered something
i knew was there all along
now that i have actually found it
maybe i will be abel to stay a while long...
